I have a background in sales. I want to know any big banks or big companies for hiring in the Scottsdale/ NE Phoenix area.

Thanks so much in advance.

The economy here, like everywhere else, is not good. People used to flock out here from places that really were much worse off. Now, most metro areas are hurting --we're better off than some, but still not good. I wish you luck, but you are in for a long search, I fear.

Strictly in NE Phoenix or north Scottsdale, the one large firm that comes to mind is the Dial Corporation. I'm sure you've heard of consumer products such as Dial & Coast Soap, Purex, Renuzit, etc. They are all headquartered at the Dial Corporation, which I believe recently moved to a location near Scottsdale Road & the 101 freeway. Not sure if they're hiring right now because they have also been affected by the economy ... but it's a very stable company which has been in the Phoenix area for decades.

If you're looking for large firms within the metro area itself, you can find many ... however, for a city as large as this, there are very few national or global corporate HQs. Regional operation centers can be found here for banks like J.P. Morgan/Chase ... and Wachovia is building a highrise in downtown Phoenix, which is supposed to be their regional HQ when it's finished sometime next year. Other large corporations that are based here are Pinnacle West, Avnet, Del Webb, Phelps Dodge, Finova, Insight, and Micro Age.
