Movin'on:

You've been planning to sell your house since 2006.
Leaving Phoenix, should I sell my house?

And then you complain about it again in '07:
Is it possible to just never be happy in a place?

I dunno, but I just get the feeling that you're a miserable person on the inside. Maybe you're mad about how other aspects of your life turned out, so you're taking it out on where you live? It seems that I only see negative from you. That's kind of a downer in itself.
Again - if you're truly not happy: move. Maybe give it a year, and home prices may get better; I don't know. But I think you really need a change, because you're just bogging this place down.

Well, I think I have found the solution. It's obvious based on all of these posts that I simply do not fit in here. So, my friend found a place for me up there I can move into like NOW and I will be renting this house out here until housing prices rebound. So thanks for all your kind words.

I'm glad something worked out for you! By up there you mean SF correct? Best of luck to ya.

Well, good luck. Really you shouldn't take all the nasties into account when making your decision, but suit yourself. And bring a sweater./..

I just love this post. I'm an "old school liberal" too!

Have you ever listened to Dennis Prager on radio? I think you might like him.

Oh, and seeing that Movin' On has moved on and I guess this is not a thread hijack.

Anyway, I already wished her well. Anyone want to post a nice good bye to her?

I'll start:

I know you are a dog lover and that makes you tops in my book. Good luck Movin On!

Movin On is monkeying around with the posts.

I will say a fond farewell. Again.

Default I find it hard to believe there's nothing to do

I've been reading this thread and I just have to say that I find it HARD to believe that there's nothing to do in Phoenix. If that was the case, people would not move here. Personally, I find it really neat to look outside of your window and see sunny weather most of the year although it can get old.

I have to admit sunny weather is better than having to deal with hurricanes and tornadoes. I have been looking at photos of the Phoenix area and find that it looks nicer than what some people say. It would be great to visit.

Well....the OP was setting himself up for nasty responses by coming out and bashing someone's else's home town. But at any rate, good for you that you are leaving. I know first hand how horrible it is to be somewhere you don't want to be. I am definitely a Southwestern girl.
