Default Dog park in or near Laveen

Hi all. I will be moving to 35th Ave & Baseline in a few months & am wondering if there are any dog parks near that area.

Thank you!

There are no dog parks immediately in the area. I take my pups to Avondale.

Happened across this last night: Map of Phoenix Area Dog Parks

According to that map, the Avondale Friendship Park allows dogs:

Thank you, that's good to know!

I would love for Laveen to build a dog park. I have 3 dogs and a pretty good sized yard, but it's always nice to take them somewhere they can play with others!

It sounds like a nice idea, but you have no control over who else comes to the dog park, and how well trained and friendly they are. I didn't ever take my dogs there, for that reason. Your dogs are just fine playing with you, and each other, in your yard.

Back to topic.

I take my dog to the dog park in Avondale also.....Its nothing spectacular, but, has 2 seperate areas for larger and smaller dogs, a few benches here and there, water spouts, and a little bit (meaning real small lol) of shade.....Its a decent sized dog park, and in the 20+ times I have been there, I havent run into any problems with other dogs......occasionally you'll run into someone who thinks they need to have their 75lb Pit Bull in the small dog area, but for the most part the people are friendly and have control over their dogs

*And before someone goes off about me referencing a Pit Bull and how not all of them are mean or whatever....yeah, I know...I'm just going of the example that I have seen and where that dog doesnt belong at the dog park....
