So we heard about this place but don't exactly know the name of it or where it is ... anybody have any ideas? Unfortunately that's about as descriptive as we can get: old ghost town turned artist village.

The first place that came to my mind was Oatman in the N/W part of the state. It’s about 25-35 miles s/w of Kingman on the old route 66.
Also there is Jerome that was nearly a ghost town and turned back into a busy little community. Jerome is located near Clarkdale and Cottonwood. And then this last town is also noted for artists, however I’m not sure if it was ever a ghost town. Tubac located in the south end of the state off I-19 maybe 20 miles south of Green Valley. This is a place where there is lots of artwork. |
