Are you allowed to take your Quad on the trails at south mountain? if not, which other trails around south phoenix allow Quads?? thanks in advance.

South Mountain Park/Preserve trails, no. Here's a link that may help you-- lots of restrictions on using ATVs/quads in the metro area.

Ah the good ole days when you could off road on the east end of SM Park! That was before ATVs. The ATVs though have managed to cause so much annoyance and destruction that they are no longer welcome anywhere near, much less in, the metro area. They have even been banned from large areas of the Tonto National Forest. You have to get quite a distance from town these days to ride.
