yeah, that's what i call the 'californian tan'...the one where when you are 35 you go to get cancerous skin tissue removed.

look at that little place called euroland and you'll know just why our skin is genetically white. we ain't supposed to be in the desert!
"The
evolution of the different skin tones is thought to have occurred as follows:[
who?] the haired primate ancestors of humans, like modern
great apes, had light skin under their hair. When Hominids evolved relative hairlessness (the most likely function of which was to facilitate perspiration), they evolved dark skin, which was needed to prevent low
folate levels since they lived in sun-rich
Africa. When humans migrated to less sun-intensive regions in the north, low
vitamin D3 levels became a problem and light skin color re-emerged. Sexual selection and diet may have played a part in the evolution of skin tone diversity, as well
[3]."

well, you can always boil a big pot of water all night if you really need a good night's rest. but when i really can't sleep, i ask my next door neighbor to play some hip hop and turn up the base ever so gently. really, i feel for you...you'll probably even have to open up your windows to get some of that awful pine air in your house. i'll send you my obnoxious humidifier if things get really bad up there.
