BTW: Thought I saw a post that said they like the salt water because of lack of chlorine. Salt water pools sanitize with chlorine just like non-salt water pools do. The chlorinator produces hypochlorous acid. Adding pool "chlorine" does the same thing. Either way you get hypochlorous acid as the sanitizer. Salt water pools feel much nicer on the skin though (kind of like soft water).
I agree that you'll limit your options if you search only for salt water pools. Most NEW pools nowadays (at least here in the east valley) are salt water - older ones are not. Personally, I would not buy a pool that wasn't a salt water pool, but I also like newer houses too, so the house would probably come with a salt water pool. If I were looking for an older house, then I wouldn't limit my search to salt water only.

I do know that the salt water pool cell breaks the bond between the Na and the CL so yes, there's still chlorine involved. But the difference in the way the chlorine is added makes the water so much nicer....ahhhh...the wonders of science.
