Default We Had an Earthquake !!!

We are getting more and more like LA each day. I guess it was 7 miles south of Cordes Lake, and about 3 on the Richter scale. It happened last night around 11 pm. Did anyone feel it????

Magnitude 3.1 - ARIZONA Nope, never feel something that small. We would get 5's in Sacramento and all that would do is shake the windows.

It is all us Californians that are moving to the area. We just thought the area would feel more at home with a little shaking going on.

If the center was 7 miles from Cordes Lakes (literally in the middle of nowhere) and it was only a three, it's quite likely, depending on the direction of the forces, that nothing whatsoever was felt in Phoenix. Years ago, I was in Berkeley visiting during a 5 point something and would either have been outside or on the second floor of a two story building, and I didn't notice a thing.

We have a lot of small quakes in AZ. Usually up near Prescott, how do you think we got the mountains?
lol There are articles every so often containing "What if Phoenix had a 7.0 earthquake?" It would all fall to the ground, thats what. lol Entertaining thats for sure, but not likely to happen anytime soon. lol
The mountains in Flag are volcanos too. OOOOOOAWwwwww. Meteors also love to land here, yikes!
RUN!!!!!

Being a lifelong Arid Zonian, I'm not sure I've ever really felt an earthquake. What does an earthquake feel like?

Probably like a sonic boom? Or like somebody sneezing real loud? Or one huge burp?

Or perhaps like a big 18-wheeler rumbling by?

Or mayhaps like a low-flying C-130...?

You never know... its possible I may actually have felt one... already... in my life...

oooooooooh.... scary...
