we're having the same problem in our apartment. we had them in our bathroom but caulked up the area they were coming from and now they're in our kitchen. i tried the boric acid under things and monday they're going to bomb our place and hopefully that gets rid of them. the apartment manager said that since they're sewer roaches, they probably won't set up a permanant home

We ripped out our garbage disposal, I think they are thoroughly digusting. I lived in canada for 33 years and didn't know a single person who had one in there home and then I moved here and they seem to be a staple item. I just don't like them so ours is gone and so is the stink that came from it. Yuck! Good Ridence!

I used Burns exterminators for about 3 years after coming here and finding roaches and scorps in the house. Then I got smart and found out what it was they used and bought my own, off the internet. DemandCS is what they use and for $50 you can get a supply that lasts all year. Mix it with water in a sprayer. I spray around the perimeter of the house and in the garage every 6 months. You should see those hugh dead roaches upside down with their feet in the air !!! No more bugs in the house. Just alot of dead ones outside. I have cats so I never use it in the house, although I think you could. Its on a website called something like DIYpest control *spelled out.
No more expensive Burns anymore!! |

Too much bleach is not good for the environment. And never use vinegar and baking soda WITH or AFTER you have used bleach/ kitchen chemicals. Always wait until no bleach/ no chemical is present in the system before applying V and B. Fail to wait could cause harmful fume and/ or chemical reaction to make things worse. |

I don't know if I am the only one that does this. I freeze a lot of left over foods to pitch on trash day, I have a bin reserved at the botton of my freezer to put things you can't dispose like meat bones, ect. pitch stuff like that in your freezer and get them out night before trash. I can't imagine that stuff being in garbage cans all week here in the heat. Also. don't leave pet kibble out for your dog all day, just feed as needed and keep it in air tight container. I have never had much bug problems, I have always tried not to have any food in my indoor or out door garbage cans for long.
