I was up all night so i went to bed in the early morning, well i just woke up a little while ago and its so hot upstairs.

I have a 2-story house,i try to only leave 1 ac unit on at a time depending what floor im gonna be on,so downstairs ac is off,i set the upstairs at 84. The temp was fine when i went to bed but now its horrible with the ac on all day.

When i woke up i can hear the AC unit on but the air its blowing it warm and the temp says 88-89,is my ac broken?

I'm no expert, but your compressor probably went out. Time to call an AC company to get it fixed.

check your breaker on the condensing unit. You say you hear it running...Is the outside running?

The air coming out of the vent closest to the intake--should be 25F cooler than the intake air.

No expert here either, Jason . . .

However, there's gotta be something wrong. Most Air Conditioning Units have at least a 5 Year Warranty so you probably are covered.

Time to start digging for your Owner's Manuals.

Mine was doing the same thing and it turned out it was losing freon or whatever refrigerant they use due to a leak in the line. So, it was running, just blowing out warm air.

That will make it run too much and overheat.

Low on refrigerant. It runs and runs and then the compressor overheats. I live in a one bedroom condo. It was 104 today. My a/c was sat on 83 and only runs for 5-10 minutes and then goes off for longer than that. Your electric bill will be a hint.
