And you can still watch the Buckeyes since they seem to play in Phoenix every bowl season!

Which reminds me, I'm really sick of seeing Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl.

Globetrotter,

"bountiful culture"

What are you talking about????? Are you Navajo or a Mexican rancher? Then don't expect that bounty!

Here, you can complain about the immigrants, then watch them build houses, then watch them pile into the truck and tear open the 24 pack of Busch, then watch them complain about laws to obey.

Based on my experience coming from the midwest, my advice is to rent for at least a year, on the east side of town, before attempting a purchase. I lived here for 5 months, researching and learning the area before buying. Conclusion: public safety and quality education come at a steep price, limited to 2 or 3 high-cost areas. Remember, stay east!

I just returned today from a week in your wonderful city and there were so many things I hated this past week....

I hated that Phoenix had no humidity, no mosquitoes, and a nice (albeit warm) breeze that helped cool me down almost every day I was out there.

I hated the interesting and attractive landscaping and artwork on the freeway embankments and overpasses. I mean, really, what is there to love about native art on the freeways ...prickly pear cactus, larger than life lizzards (geckos?), and other interesting designs? I hated that it made driving interesting.

I hated your traffic. I went from far northeast Mesa (Superstition Springs Center) to far north Scottsdale in 30 minutes at 5:00 p.m. On another day, it was from south Mesa to far north Scottsdale in about 25 minutes also at 5:00 p.m. That was absolutely despicable.

Your drivers, for the most part, were nice. Tailgating, a way of life around my town, was the exception in Phoenix (except on I-17). How disgusting. And turn signals - it was most annoying that drivers actually used right signals to turn right, left signals to turn left. In my town, you never trust a left turn signal and right turn signals are only right about 50% of the time (pun intended).

It really irked me that sales clerks and people in general were friendly out there. You'd think the heat would make them cranky, but nooooooo, on the 115-degree day I think they smiled even more than usual. Argggh!

Yes, I really hated my week in Phoenix. I hated it so much, as a matter of fact, that I'm looking at the calendar to see when I can visit again so I can complain about it again.

That's one of the few things I actually do hate about Phoenix. Today was my last day at a company I've been with for 8 years because I'm tired of the hour and a half commute each way. You were going against rush hour traffic when you went from Mesa to Scottsdale in 30 minutes. I probably passed you in the opposite direction, being tailgated or cut off by people who rarely use a turn signal at all.

I dont hate Phx either, but I just dont like living in the city. As of right now, Casa Grande is approx 25,000 people, which is fine. But I think Mustang, OK is around 15,000 People and sounds more like my kind of town. Oklahoma City is right next door so work wouldnt be that far away. But some folks, some like the smaller towns....

Hey, you can put a pizza in your car and it will stay hot for 4 months! Don't need to go to any racetracks, the Scottsdale photo radar clocked people going 142 MPH. Ever see a blizzard with dirt instead of snow? (duststorm).

I hate people in AZ trying so hard to hide the crap like polution, crime, immigration problems, failing education and non existant state aid for our homeless instead of trying to do something about it! Hiding this crap from newcomers won't work, they will find out eventually. Well, maybe they will help with some of these issues unless they have enough money to just ignore it and lay out by their swimming pools, drink and think the weathers fricken great man, I don't know why anyone has issues with it! Hey I know I will just say it's not really happening dude, then it won't be true, I'm so fricken brillant! Hey dude the crime is you won't hand me a brewsky while I'm hanging by this pool! I just hate those stupid people in AZ with out money from selling there Cali homes, who live here working 3 jobs to keep there kids out of crime ridden schools, they suck. Maybe Joe should go get them and put them in some pink undies! Yeahh dude there stinking up my Frys mega market place trying to act like real people from Arizona. Don't they know this is the best! You know the worst dude, is that nobody appreciates the life by this pool I am giving my kids, shoot, education is so over rated by these locals, there starting to want to move! Wow dude look, what a cool brown cloud, they don't have that back in Ohio! We are so rightous! "WAY" Isn't that pollution? No way dude, those news people lie to scare us, and statistics, that all bs! They just want us to leave so they can take our sweet spot here by our new pool. Hey, do you vote dude? Vote, for what? Out here in AZ we don't have to vote, the weather is to good to leave the pool! Besides there just voting for a new Walmart mega center and border security, and they need the mexis to do the lawn work we won't do at Walmart, not to mention who would build it if they weren't here? hahaha not us! Oh and don't you just love using poor people, especially those dark ones! Why we just love feeling native in there part of the country!
Once I went to Europe and it was just terrible dude, I couldn't believe the health care people got there, and they didn't even pay for it. I hated seeing where my ancestors really came from, it gave me the creepyz! I couldn't wait to get back to the land we stole from the mexis and have myself a steak burrito out by the sprinklers! Turn on my cable t.v. with no license, and watch the mexis getting arrested because there so poor the needed to steal something. Its so great dude, I feel the same way, I am so glad we friends dude, me to dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, like that doesn't exists in every metro area. It is all located in Phoenix because NYC doesn't have crime...and Los Angeles doesn't have pollution.

As for Europe...be my guest and move there. And you will Send the gov. most of your paycheck. Either you are going to pay for it....Nothing is free.

At least I'd live longer and I wouldn't be as embarrassed about how we treat our poor, or how many children die from lack of health care in America. Arizona leads yet again in that area. If we love it so much here then why don't we talk about how to fix it? Or do you just love the weather? Or maybe the cheap labor? As far as being able to handle living in a big city most Arizonies seem to be in kindergarten. Maybe its the sprawl? It doesn't look like a big city? Everythings so flat!
