Overall, I like the list of things I hate in Phoenix more than the list of things I hated in So Cal.

So. Cal trumps Phoenix for a young-person, IMO. Providing that one can afford it

No argument here but then again, I'm no longer that young!

One thing I truly hate in Phoenix is the drivers, So Cal has more traffic but people drive faster yet in harmony, over here, it is like.....hell for the most part.

~ Chaotic traffic flow.
~ Average posted speed limit is like 40mph which imho is too f'ing slow.
~ Need more major streets to take the load off of the others.
~ People who jack the far left lane and refuse to give way to faster drivers.
~ Horrid left cross turns and right merge turns.
~ Undercover cops who go the extra mile to write tickets instead of doing real cop work.

I have been here almost a year and bad traffic/drivers is the only thing that truly gets to me!

PS. Now that I have vented, I feel better...

Yeah, but I'm not that original. If you read the first few posts on this thread that is what everyone was doing. I also thought it was clever so I was just copying .

I grew up in So.Cal. LA so. bay area and it was absolutely awesome!
Then I got married and had kids and it just isn't a great place to raise kids anymore like it used to be.
Too much traffic, too many people, TOO expensive etc.
When I went to the Phoenix area on business I was very impressed by the whole feel and atmosphere of it. We've been there many times since then and every time we like it better and better.
And I HATE, HATE, HATE driving in LA way more than Arizona. Although there are idiot drivers everywhere for sure.

I grew up there too...well, sorta-moved when I was 4 years old. Wow, (It's a) Small World (after all)! Sorry, I couldn't resist Are you going to miss listening to Vin Scully? Phoenix was a much nicer place when every Dodger game was on the radio here. Listening to Mark Grace and Darin Sutton makes my teeth hurt.

At least for the most part people in Phoenix know how to merge. I lived in NC for a short time and I don't think that concept was ever explained to them.

Yeah, Albuquerque was the same. I cant count how many times I went up the freeway only to come off the freeway because not one person would let me on.
