Do you want more? I see plenty of educational and constructive topics and posts.. even in this thread. What you're doing is whining.

I still fail to see your argument based on actually living there.. I've been there enough to understand the people, the traffic, the crime, the HEAT, the Sprawl, and so on. Keep riding that high horse you're on.

Phoenix is 100% for you, or it's 100% not for you from my experience... no in between. If you can't deal with the lack of greenspace, the population, the climate, and general things to do.. why are you there in the first place? It's pretty cut and dry as to what Phoenix has to offer somebody.

In respect of the Moderators here, I'll let you go.. Good luck in your quest for ultimate serenity!
Wow, you sound hostile, what is up with that? There is no 100%. Much as it may irk you, there are always shades of gray. Why are you so upset, to the point that you would suggest the mods step in? I haven't been hostile or disrespectful. I think this says something about you, more than me.

Oh, why bother to even respond further. There are places that a person just does not fundamentally like. This thread is a call to express these thoughts. As is turns out, these thoughts are not welcome.
Actually this is a discussion board where all ideas and thoughts are invited, but are also open to debate. If someone posts an opinion, it should be questioned and prodded... especially when it's of the "blanket" or "broad brush" variety.

There are certainly things to dislike about PHX and things everyone prefers from other places. But, as in every city, there are great things, gems, things to discover and opportunities to deliver that which is not being provided. In fact the latter is what makes this country great. To me, if there's something lacking, it's an opportunity to fill a void.

Those focused on what's wrong and hoping to get away are just part of the problem, not part of the solution. And that's a valid point in the "hate PHX" discussion.

You are correct. There are good things and bad things to every situation. Still, and nonetheless, perhaps this thread should be renamed? I mean, if one does not want to hear criticism of Phoenix, it should be renamed?

No need to rename. As mentioned, criticism is part of the debate. As mentioned, it's welcomed and open to discussion. Let's see some real, specific examples of what's lacking and/or can't be found.

Why even contribute negative posts about Phoenix in the Phoenix section? Obviously, there are people who love it here, or we wouldn't live here for decades. If you want to complain about Phoenix, and are moving to another city, go complain in that other city's section. As for me, I will continue to defend my hometown as long as people are attacking it and its people (that would include me).

I mean, I won't stop anyone from posting whatever they want, but when I see people complaining about the heat and " racist rednecks", I have to step in. First, who moves to Phoenix and then complains about the heat??? Did no one tell people who move here that this is a desert? Second, I am no redneck, and neither are my neighbors, my friends, family, etc...so I take exception to that generalization.

I just question the reasoning for complaining about Phoenix in the Phoenix forum. I honestly think that some people are trying to get people to leave. Futile. If people want to leave, they will, if not, it doesn't make a difference how much a person complains about this area, and it just makes it seem like those who are complaining just want to **** those who love it off.

Just an observation.

Actually, you'd be lucky if people left -more water. And may I remind you of the title of this thread, or are you just too lame to get this!!?

And? I'm lame because I actually enjoy living where I live? I don't believe in utopia, but rather enjoying what you do have as much as possible.

And your water comment is irrelevant. People leaving will not give us more water. More water rights negotiations benefiting AZ would give us more water. Population reduction would not magically make more water appear, though I do practice water conservation myself.

The title of the thread means nothing to me because this thread is posted in the Phoenix forum. Those who walk into another's house and complain about everything within the house are bound to get an earful (or a swift kick out the front door)

Well, the thread is titled Why I Hate Phoenix, so I guess I fit in just fine here. If you have an issue, you need to speak with TPTB to get the thread changed, so people like me don't feel comfortable putting our two cents in.

Like I said, you can say whatever you want, but I'm going to respond.
