I have great respect for other people to have their point of view, may be opposite that I have. It is about freedom, correct?
I do not own any firearms: that stated; my idea of gun control is being able to hit my target with one shot

You never responded to my question. Where do you live? Why do you need to carry a gun, hidden for that matter? What are you afraid of? Because of your "freedom" many guns end up where they are not needed?

Cities like Chicago, DC, NYC, Phoenix and countless others are suffering from gun related violence in part because it is so easy to get a gun. Yet millions of people who live in those cities and hear and see gun violence never think twice about owning a gun.Ironic isn't it. People who should actually carry a gun to protect themselves every day never do, yet people who have no need for protection are the ones who are the most vocal about having a gun. Silly isn't it.

Why do you need your freedom of speech? In case you didn't know, both freedoms are guaranteed by our Constitution. There is no need to justify it beyond that, simply exercising your Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms in a lawful manner.

I am an Arizona Native. Was introduced to firearms before I was 10 years old (a long time ago). Have been carrying a firearm since I was in high school (it was legal to bring firearms to school back then).

I have a CCW permit as does my wife. We both carry concealed weapons. We have weapons in our home.

We see no need NOT to have them -

Is it that you don't feel safe in Phoenix? I am just wondering why one would need a weapon around here? Or is it just like a cool thing to do? I really don't get it.
I knew two kids who accidentally shot and killed themselves with homeowners guns when I grew up but I have never known a person who protected themselves by shooting someone out here without doing time in jail afterwards, unless they were a cop or in the military.

My point is you really can't use it anyway, so I wonder what the point is?
I can see hunting, but shopping with one seems silly.

I feel safe in the Valley. I also feel that should a situation arise unexpectedly, I am prepared.

And, you say I "really can't use it" - I don't understand your point. I can, and have, used my firearms -

Prepared for what? Tell me in your opinion when is it ok to use a gun, and shoot someone?

An intruder entered my home and threatened my wife and child with a gun.

I shot him. He died.

Well I am sorry that you guys had to go through that, and am glad that it was the criminal that paid the ultimate price.

But my problem is with guns being allowed to be carried everywhere. No reason. Having guns in your homes to protect your family and belongings is one thing, but carrying concealed weapon is a different animal.

Bottom line:

If guns were outlawed; do you honestly think the bad guys would turn theirs in?

The stark reality is there are scads of firearms already in circulation--------the authorities would never be able to get them all.

Speaking for just myself: I do not own any weapons......by my choice (I could get a CCW tomorrow, never been arrested)-----but, if there were ever a serious effort to ban 'em------------I would be stocking my arsenal 30 ways from Sunday.
