I hate the fact that you can drive for an hour or two and be in a completely different climate, not to mention all that annoying majestic scenery!

But seriously, I do hate the racial tension that is on the rise here under the corruption of Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Hopefully he isn't reelected this time. If he is, I would seriously consider any opportunity to move out of the county.

I respect your opinion, although I might add that I don't think Sheriff Joe is responsible for racial tensions around here.....

Joe's favorable ratings are in the high 70 / low 80 percent.

Joe will EASILY win re-election. He is a good Sheriff

i love sheriff joe, not because of what he's doing, but because of who he's bringing. My co-worker told me about a news report he watched and it was as stupid as it could get.

Joe gets up on the stand, starts clapping and states, "every clap is an illegal coming into Arizona." Some guy in the background yells, " stop clapping!!"

One thing i don't understand about Joe, is the sheriff's office is in a HUGE hispanic area. Yet, he doesn't even bother with the area around him. How does that make sense? I still don't understand what illegals are doing wrong. I see more white people dealing drugs on a daily basis, then illegal immigrants causing harm. I see more drunk native americans, then illegals causing harm.

You must be looking at an old poll... or a quote from lying Joe. He is at about 55% the last I checked.

Default If you hate Phoenix...

then don't live there!

For me, I love Los Angeles and Phoenix. Some people would think that's wierd, since there are a lot of differences between these two great metro areas.

I lived in several cities and small towns on the east coast and in the west. I see blight in almost every area. I see good things in almost every area too. This is part of being America and individualistic. Sophisticated next to gawdiness side by side. Trashy neighborhoods with no theme and HOA neighborhoods side by side.

The alternative is to live in a so-called "progressive" (socialists hi-jacked that concept from a bustling free market society) society. England in the 1940s through 1970s is one example. Oh, I guess they only have "working people" (another hi-jacked term, as if high-income engineers do not earn their money). I prefer my checkerboard America because I know I still have more freedom than a "progressive" nation's typical citizen.

Illegal aliens are committing crimes simply by living here & not being U.S. citizens. They don't want to learn English, and they seem to think we owe them a living, so they create a language barrier. Other than that, my huge gripe about illegals is how they come here & have babies by the barrel because they know that the Fourteenth Amendment grants instant citizenship to babies born to illegals. That wasn't its original intention when the Fourtheenth Amendment was written, but a lot of migrants take advantage of that "loophole".

Also, illegals and their multitudes of children (who are uninsured) crowd hospital emergency rooms and urgent care centers. They know hospitals have to treat everybody regardless if the patients can pay or not. This makes wait times ridiculously long for sick people who have medical insurance, and are able to pay. Botton line is: illegals are a huge burden on our medical and welfare system.
