November 5-7. Shouldn't you know that, being in fashion school and all?

Scottsdale Fashion Week 2009

Oh yeah, Phoenix Fashion Week is October 1-3.

Some of us simply do not care for putative 'world class' cities, to be blunt. In fact: if $$$ were no concern--------I would be quite happy living in Globe, Az.

I grew up in the Wash DC area, lived in Los Angeles and I am quite content with 'podunk' Arizona.

Besides: with the collapse of Wall Street----------that drove home the point that NYC is also a 'one horse' town these days.

did you ever think that maybe weather didnt matter one bit to other people. people who move from somewere becasue "boo hoo its cold my poor little self cant handle it " are absolute idiots. ill stay in the land of opporunity. the NYC metro area has more people than the whole state of AZ. but people are "Flocking" to live in the inferno, right?

Boy this ongoing debate is getting quite BORING. I suggest you stay in NYC where you seem to love it (albeit a bit defensive) and we will stay here where we are quite happy. I don't see the value in all this ridiculous back and forth about fashion etc. It is clear to me that if you love NYC you are not going to care much for Phoenix and if you love Phoenix then NYC is probably not your place. We need to get over it and move on like big girls and boys.

By the way the fact that AZ has few folks than the NYC metro area is exactly why I moved here.

Just think, if everyone liked the same thing, everyone would be in the same place. Thank God for the fact that we all have different likes and dislikes.

Amen...If that attitude is NYC...then I despise it more than I imagined. OG...I am thankful you have beauty for fashion school with the comments you have made, not sure if there would be a university that would be a right fit. Reality tells me you must be spending someone's money!

Having lived in MN for many years, there is nothing like walking out the door with 90 and 50% humidity and having to hold your breath so you don't drown, gorgeous city-slicker hairdo goes amuck... Then you have winter and -20 and go out and have the breath sucked out of you from the cold...then go shovel or break your nails from the cold! It is all a personal choice and I will take the AZ summer heat over anyplace else with humidity, and no one is going to take my AZ winters away...I have had enough snow and cold for many lifetimes... Lovin it in AZ
