Oh come on you can't say that, I used to live outside of Chicago and rode the subways numerous times, they were a complete and utter dump.
It just seems to me that your bitter about New York always casting a shadow over Chicago so you must pick the littler city to make up for it. Every time a chance arises you take it. It makes sense for me.

While contributing to ever increasing urban sprawl by moving way out to J-6 but hey, there's no stopping it so why not, right?

FYI: moving 80+ miles away from a major metro area (Tucson) does not constitute urban sprawl.

Yeah as mentioned, J-6 is hardly "urban sprawl". For one thing, there is a 15 mile stretch along I-10 between Vail and J-6 that's state land and has (and likely always will have) absolutetly nothing at all on it - and - I'm pleased to say - we back right on to that stretch. Mainly though, the point is, J-6-Whetstone-Benson (even as they do develop - which we kind'a want to happen (at least to a degree)) will thus NEVER be an integral part of the general Tucson sprawl for the simple reason that there will always be a 15 mile seperation between them and even the most remote areas of the greater Tucson metro area. They will ALWAYS be their OWN place and likely NEVER part of some greater urban metropolis.
We moved to a relatively small community that I'm hoping will grow a bit more before we leave this earth.

Twiggy, lets not forget who started the insults. Steve-o said something to the effect that someone with half a brain could figure all this out. Since he mentioned it I figured he knew more about it than the rest of us. I am glad that Steve-O is such a part of the community anb has been posting for years to this community. I started posting in the Phoenix area 11 months after Steve-O so I guess i also have been posting for years. Good for me and good for Steve-O and good for you. We all love City Data Forum and the Phoenix forum. What a love fest we are all having. Funny that some of us just seem to find more positive to the area than negatives.

No, you are right - we are about 40 miles out from downtown Tucson. As I said, though there is a significant stretch (15 miles or so) of state land that separates us from from Vail (the last suburb out from Tucson). This provides a buffer of sorts that separates J-6 from the Tucson sprawl - and thus makes us our own separate place.
