Ha, ha.

There has been a recent (late May 2013) fire out in the southwest Valley in which a huge amount of mulch was burning. It made things pretty smoky for several days. It was still burning as of last week, and can flare up any time because the mulch is reportedly 40 feet deep in some places. http://www.kpho.com/story/22443087/m...ancels-classes.
