Default Moving to Chandler?

OK it is real up in the air, but my wife 3, and 5 yr old maybe moving into the Phoenix area in September , October.

My wife is going to be transferred to a new medical office in Casa Grande. This will be a major disruption in our lives and we are looking for some info on the surrounding areas. We will be buying a home but not for 1, or 2 years after we move.

We were considering renting an apartment in the Casa Grande area but it sounds like it may not be the nicest area. Opinions welcomed. We have never been there so we have no clue about what is what.

I have been searching online and found this apartment complex in Chandler.. Los Arboles
1586 West Maggio Way
CHANDLER, AZ 85224

How far is Chandler from Casa Grande?

As far as I go I work for Empire-Today so there is a location in Phoenix and I have a job as soon as I get there if I want one, so for me no big deal.

A safe community, and decent schools are much more important.

Thanks Rob

Well, it looks like either one of you or both are going to have a bad commute to work. I mapped it and it looks like it's about 32 miles from the complex to casa grande. It also says 40 minutes, but we all know that isn't true. It may be an hour. I haven't never been to CG, but I know others who have and they never said it was a bad place, or anything. It's growing like anywhere, and they have all the amenities. Can you take a trip out here beforehand to check it all out/

No doubt about it. I am going to have to look at Mapquest again to see about halfway points.

Thanks Rob

Chandler is about 30 miles north of Casa Grande, but if your wife commutes from Chandler to CG, she'll be going in the opposite direction of heavy rush-hour traffic. If your job is likely to be in the Phoenix area, then a Chandler location would make sense. From a traffic point of view, commuting from a home in the Phoenix area to CG is much better than vice-versa.
