Is this for exterior or interior? For exterior, I would stay away from CertaPro as far as I could. Here's the link to the photos 1 day after the exterior paint job by CertaPro completed. The repair work will hopefully complete this coming week but the headache was just not worth it. About 1/3 of the house (about 4000 sq.ft) has to be repainted.

During our ordeal with the paint job, we found Mr. Casey at CJC Panting. He was extremely helpful and provided us with critical and, most importantly, accurate information to go against CertaPro and CostCo. His BBB and ROC records are flawless!!!.

He impressed us with his reply below to our request for him to do the repair work.

...As a member of the PDCA and the ROC, I must follow a code of ethics and your are still in a contract with another paint contractor, after talking to Scott at Sherwin Williams, I was assured that your problem will be taken care of by your current contractor. ...

Good luck....

I use one painter for all of my rehab projects and have used him for my own home. He is meticulous.

His name is Pat Nagy and his company name is Taz Painting. His number is 602 750 0228. Let him know that Bill Travis referred you to him. I do not get any kickback from him. I'm happy to refer him because I know he does a great job, and referring him is my favor to him for doing a great job for me.

If you call him on Sunday he may not return your call until Monday because he plays golf on Sunday. So I suggest to call him on Monday morning. He will be working on one of my houses on Monday so I'll tell him to expect a call from someone from C-D.

Thank you for your help, Bill. How much does he charge? Can you give me a ball park estimate?

Regards

He's very reasonable. If you have a lot of cubby holes that become labor intensive it will affect the price. But you can probably get in the ball park by estimating around $1.25 -$1.50 per square foot. (2000sf house, probably in the ball park of $3000, not including ceilings). That's two coats rolled and brush, and patch all holes, etc. He removes wall plates so they don't look sloppy by being painted around and on.

You should also get a competitive bid and see some work by whomever you choose. I would be happy to show you the townhouse in Gilbert that he recently painted for me. It's in the Islands, still vacant and I go there often.

He's finishing up the house in Mesa for me tomorrow but that's further for you to drive.
