Default Does anyone remember the drive in movies?

I have a few photos of the drive in movies in Phoenix. Does anyone have a photo they took? There were so many, I remember the Indian Drive In with the big head of a chief on the street side of the screen; the Round Up with the huge neon cowboy near Scottsdale; the Bethany on 51st Ave. that had those bright baseball field lights right behind the screen; the Acres, Cinema Park, Phoenix on Van Buren, Peso, Northern, Big Sky, Rodeo.

I surely do...., esp the Roundup, which was closest to me geographically.

Here's a small bit of trivia, the drive-in industry back then was one of the most powerful voices getting Daylight Saving Time repealed in AZ.

I remember the Model A Ford, before drive-in movies. I rode in my grandfathers Model A and thought that was really cool.

So naturally I remember the drive-in movies. As a teen-ager in Detroit that was the place to go with a date. Don't remember any of the movies though.

passion pit.

When they showed "r" rated movies, we'd park outside the fence and make up our own dialogue.
