Toilet water level will go down and after a long enough time roaches will be able to get in easier from the toilet. If you know someone trustworthy, have them go into your home every three weeks to flush the toilets.

Also, any truth that house will attract bugs if tempt rises too high?

I would set it at 82, that way it's not too hot, and if it does get too hot the A/C can kick on a few times a week to cool it back down.

I have my house set to 82, 7pm -12pm and 85, 12pm -7pm. It kicks on more than a couple of times a week!!

We either turn our A/C off when we go out of town or set it to 90 (which is the highest temp our control will allow). However, the longest time we are away is 3 weeks.
