Thinking to buy a house now, is area around Gilbert Rd and Warner Rd a good place to live?
Want to check some houses between Gilbert road and Cooper road, close Warner Rd. Houses around Ray and Gilbert road are also being considered. Do you think it is a good area to live? Are these areas keeping their values well even economy is unstable? Anything I need to know about these areas? Thank you very much for your helps!

These are good areas. They are near The Islands, which is a popular lake community near McQueen and Warner, and several other nice communities.
The property values in the entire valley declined, and appear to have stabilized. The inventory is very low in the under $350k range, less than 4 months supply. This values in this area will remain in proportion with any other community in the Gilbert/Chandler area, in my opinion.

I enjoy that area too, but the closer you get to Arizona Avenue north of the 202, the less I like it.

I live very near Settler's Point and love it. There really isn't any bad area around this and I love being super close to the center of everything in Gilbert. We are about 10 minutes from San Tan Village, 6 minutes from "Downtown" Gilbert and less than ten minutes from either the 60 or the 202- it's perfect if you ask me
We don't have any busy traffic in our subdivision and there isn't any noise from the major streets or anything. The school is good, the neighbors are very friendly and I enjoy everything about this community. Good luck with your search!

The best way is to have your realtor set you up with an mls portal that will search properties meeting your criteria and update them daily.

My wife and I just bought a brand new house in Seville. You should check out these Shea homes in Gilbert. These homes are energy efficient, 8 foot doors, wide hallways, 10 foot space to the wall on the sides of the house, low HOA in a private golf course community, San Tan Mountains, a community feel with space. We looked at short sales and forclosures, too much legal wrangling, poor upkeep, as-is contracts, and the prices were not that great. Besides who wants to be a carpetbagger?
