My wife and I will be moving to Phoenix on the 18th. We don't want to sign up for Cable TV. What channels can we expect with just an antenna?

Thanks

Steve

just local channels 3, 5 CBS, 8 PBS, 10 FOX, 12 NBC, 15 ABC, 45 MY TV,61 CW, probably a couple more 33 telemundo, Also you can't pick up channels with an antenna anymore. You may need one of those digital converter boxes

If you do not want cable, you might want to try Direct Tv. They are better than cable IMO.

You can get quite a few. Mostly Spanish and religious though. But you should be able to get 7.1 and 7.2 which are the Retro TV Channels. Bunch of good older shows.

You can get DSL without a phone line, that's what I do. I get 1.5mpbs from Qwest for $25/month.

90% of TV shows are online, so hook your computer up to a TV and enjoy!

I know you will need a converter box to get the regular local stations and network affiliate stations.

That is only true for older TVs that lack a digital tuner, also known as an ATSC tuner. Newer TVs do not require a converter.
