Like most midwesterners, they would toughen up after they left the effete east for cowboy country. Real men and real women can take the heat. Chicagoans fat from pizza on a loaf of bread and too much Wisconsin beer and cheese can't.

I really, really have a hard time believing that. Sorry!

Too bad, but I'm sure there are many residents here that can confirm that many people, especially the elderly and poor don't have or don't use their air-conditioning.

Those old hispanics are tough as nails. I had a friend in Tucson and we would go over to his house where his grandfather would sit outside in summer eating hot chiles - sweat pouring off him. You won't see that in Chicago.

Gee arent you the stereotyping whiz. Chicago's climate is FAR more demanding than prissy lil PHX. You KNOW that 95% of AZ natives couldnt handle one winter in Chicago. Dealing with extreme heat is one thing, dealing with howling January winds that drive temps to sub-zero levels, with blinding snowfall and icy roads? You guys wouldnt last a week. Lets not talk about "real men" now, you lost that argument before it began.

Nah, we sit outside at Bears games in the dead of winter with cold beers in our hands, many crazies w/o shirts on, too.

I thought you said it was nice in January. Now I don't want to move there.
