OMG...no you didn't! The art of a good Martini is much more complicated and refined my dear.

Another vote for Durant's. Cheuvront Restaurant & Wine Bar - Modern and relaxed restaurant located in the heart of Phoenix is a good choice as well. This all presumes that a martini is made the proper way -- with gin -- I have no idea who would make a good vodka "martini" or why anyone would want one.

Christopher's Crush Lounge in the Biltmore area (by Macy's). My brother bartends there and is always making up some pretty badass martinis.

let me throw Skye in the discussion as well

they also mix up a pretty good sazerac for those who have such tastes - not a drink you see everyday on the standard bar menu and they even keep it right with rye

This is sure to amuse the real martini drinkers here, but I had a chocolate martini in Olives in the Bellagio in Vegas a couple of years ago - it was unbelievable. It didn't have any over chocolatey liquors in it. It was clear. Are there any Olives in Phoenix?

As far as real martinis go - as in multiple shots of booze in the same glass... I drink too fast for those. Whether it's soda, water, iced tea... I'm a glutton. If I were to drink martinis, I'd be hospitalized before the appetizers came.

If someone twisted my arm though, it would probably be vodka(Grey Goose), although I did just rediscover gin and tonics - Magellan....nice.
