Boxes for Moving?
Hi all,
I'm going to be moving soon and am hoping for some suggestions for places to find good boxes?
Should I just check grocery stores, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, places like that? And is it generally best first thing in the morning?
PS. I live in Central Phoenix.

Make it easy, buy as many boxes as you can the same size so they stack easily. Home Depot has 3 different sizes cheap; Discount Box Supply used to be where I got boxes but they closed.

Lowe's was selling medium size boxes at .97-cents each, and smaller size boxes for .67-cents each last time I was there (3 weeks ago or so).

Sometimes you can get free or very cheap used boxes from moving van lines.

We are in the process of moving here and bought boxes at Home Depot. We also bought some wardrobe boxes. When are you planning to move? Once we unpack I was going to sell them on Craig's list. I also will have lots of bubble wrap as we have a lot of glass pieces and pottery.

Don't pay for boxes. That is the biggest rip off you can get scammed into. Speak with a grocery store or factory, they recycle THOUSANDS of boxes daily. Make them an offer like signing a liability form of some sort.

Hit up a Borders or Barnes and Noble. Books come in heavy boxes and it isn't like they are going to do anything with them later.
A lot of times if they have extra and you ask, it'll cost you nothing.
