The weather during the “winters” is pretty good. Right now it is hot (close to 90), but in the evening it is nice outside (high 50’s/low 60’s). The absence of sun also helps because it can be brutal year round. Wearing sunscreen and protecting yourself is important here.

All and all, if you have the time, traveling out of town is the way to beat the brutal weather in Phoenix and get a little variety (you know, like seeing clouds). Flagstaff is very nice this time of year and it hardly every snows up there lately what with the drought. You’re also close to San Diego which has nice weather.
I agree that the sun is intense year round. But remember it is pretty far south here. The sun is just as nasty when I go on my trips to Oklahoma where I am building a house. Big difference there is that there is shade everywhere. You can always duck behind a tree. Still, the humidity is truly terrible in eastern OK. I just about die when I am working there even when it's 20 degrees cooler than in AZ. I wonder if I will ever adjust to humidity after so many years in the desert.

LOL, did you ever imagine you could complain about a lack of cloudy and rainy days? But I know the feeling.

You can tell the local around here because by the age of 30 they look like a catcher's mit...nasty.
Weeks dont think so........ yesterday where I am Chandler was 86, today 83 week before that was all mid 80's I think we had 1 day of 90. Nights are great, right now is beautiful and just getting better. Dry heat is bad for skin, so use sunscreen and moisturizer, humidity is bad also can create acne and severe foot rot if the dont air out enough as well as bad for the frizzy hair or just flat hair, there are ways to combat dry skin, moisturize, common sense. What people seem to forget is Az's summer is everywhere elses winter. alot of places have extremely cold weather and snow or rain, we get extremely hot summers. Winters else where can last for 4-5 months, here we have 4 months of the surface of the sun.

Again, 80's is hot. No way around it. Maybe to people in Arizona, Saudi Arabia or Iraq 80's is "nice" but to most people in the world, it's hot.

The nights are nice now, but when you hit that sun and it's 80-90 degrees outside, it is hot. Besides, it's November for Pete's sake.

Default Air Conditioner Is On Each Afternoon...

I don't like the heat. Anything 80 and over is HOT to me. I have a disability and take medication that messes with my body temperature control. Still, 70-75 would be OK, but not 80-85. I have been opening up at night but each day about 3:00 pm I have had to turn the air on until 8:00 pm when we open up. I want to move to a cooler climate with four seasons instead of two, and will do so as soon as housing prices stabilize.

Maybe compared the to average Arizonian I am bizzare. That's a compliment as far as I am concerned.

Spend time in the Northwest, New England, Canada, Europe...80's is hot weather. You don't have to go to Alaska to experience a temperate climate. If anything, living in a desert is bizzare, especially the way people live here in AZ. There is a reason Arabs wrap themselves from head to toe with clothing.

Talking Humidity

Dry Heat???? Phoenix is VERY,VERY humid. It has to do with the number of swimming pools there. The natural weather IS dry but the pools make it humid.

That's not very nice! I can't be the only person in the world that thinks 80 is warm!

What's bizzare is people who wear heavy winter coats when it is 60 degrees outside.

Should be in the upper 60's for highs on Monday/Tuesday. Who says we don't have seasons? Break out the parkas, it's winter!!!
