Hey guys,
I've been searching the net now for quite a while and I know it's out there somewhere but I can't seem to find it...
Can someone point me to a site that keeps track of how many days Phoenix has gone without rain?
Thank you!

This may not be what you're searching for, but try the NWS climate data site.
National Weather Service - NWS Phoenix

You can view day by day, and month by month temperature & precipitation statistics. For instance, if you pull up September's preliminary climatological data, you can see that the last measurable rainfall at Phoenix Sky Harbor Int'l was on September 5th. There has been no measurable rain so far in October ... so it has been 43 days since there was any measurable rain.

That may seem like a long time without rain (and it is pretty monotonous), but it's not too unusual for this time of year. October is a relatively dry month on average, and November is often just slightly wetter. But if we don't receive any more measurable rain for the rest of the year, then 2009 will officially be the driest year ever in Phoenix! I'm hoping that will not happen beause December is usually the month when the rainy season officially begins for the winter months. They're also predicting a wetter upcoming winter for the SW ... however, I don't trust much of anything the NWS says concerning their long range outlooks. I believe it when I see it!

Thanks Valley Native. That site will do the trick plus a lot more. I'm PresCOTT native but have lived in Phoenix since 2000. I don't think I'll ever get used to the heat of summer and some might call me crazy but I'd move to Seattle in a second just for the rain. I was just sitting here at my computer tonight thinking that it's been a while since we had any but could not put my finger on how long it's been.
Thanks for the link.

It's strange when we go so long without rain, I start to feel uneasy, like it's never coming. lol The worst for me is when it's cloudy but never rains, like a pimple that won't pop.
Ew, that was a gross analogy but, you know what I mean, right?

Gross but apropos.

The lack of rain is bugging me as well----------especially factoring in we are over 50% down this year.

A few years ago we went from October to March without any measurable amount of rain. In fact, I remember there only being a small handful of cloudy days during that period as well.

Usually near the end of summer, the lakes around here are pretty pathetic. At least this year, despite the lack of precipitation, most of them are still over 50%!
Lake Levels/River Flow
Ugh, lake Meads not looking too good... 40%.

Phoenix is a strange city for rain, it can hit the east valley and avoid Phoenix entirerly, or the opposite. I often see storms hit the tempe/scottsdale area and nowhere else.

Are you looking for a particular area?
