Estrella. Yes, things like pool, the yacht club, exercise eqpt are in the fees, but there are lots of classes and other activities that have fees of their own.
As for E vs. V. I prefer Estrella (I live there). The lakes, views, the county park, trails, bicycling, trump anything in Verrado. I like that it is more remote and secluded feeling as well. I kind of like all the grass at Verrado and the house styles - but really all that is very out of place here in the desert and I think the novelty would wear off after a time. Verrado is not far from the shopping on Watson Road, but Estrella is now pretty close to all the stuff going (someday, LOL) up on Cotton Lane and Estrella so most things are now pretty convenient.

I think a lot depends on how you feel about "New Urbanism".
New Urbanism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Verrado is a new urbanism community, Estrella is not (although Estrella does have some new urbanism concepts).
Both communities a great, but for different reasons. Things in common are great schools, lots of amenities, a certain quietness or remoteness, and the overall feeling of living in a very nice place.
However, from there, the neighborhoods are much different. For example, in Verrado, one is always within a short walking distance of a park, while, in Estrella, you may or may not be within walking distance of a park. Verrado is lush and green with lots of grass and trees, while Estrella is more about xeriscape and utilizing the natural environment (not to say there isn't xeriscape in Verrado or grass and trees in Estrella, but, generally speaking, what I said is true).
Estrella has the lakes (which are great, btw), Verrado doesn't. Estrella is more remote and removed from the city, while Verrado is closer to the freeway. Verrado seems a bit more trendy, while Estrella seems a bit more family-focused.
Really, though, with either neighborhood, you can't go wrong. Both are great places to live.
My choice? Estrella.

Haha, I wouldn't exactly call it a "Yacht Club" since there is no yachts. Do they even allow motorized boats? I thought you could only take out electric or paddle?

Sail boats, row/paddle boats, kayaks, canoes and boats with electric motors.
The two lakes are not huge. You wouldn't want actual yachts floating out there. Besides, the Quartzsite Yacht Club doesn't even have water.

"I guess it's just an expression I am not familiar with, I would think yacht club was for yacht owners."
Yeah, it's a bit of a misleading title. I think people just like saying that they go to the yacht club.
Or maybe nobody could think of a better name.
Nonetheless, it is nice to be able to borrow a boat and take it on the lake once in a while. Not that I've done it yet, but the idea that it's available is appealing.

Do they have the lakes stocked with fish?
