Question getting closer to the move...confused...more questions

Ok. I think that I have found a good neighborhood to start looking for homes. The Ocotillo section/subdivisions of Chandler. However, I am bit confused about something.

On the CUSD web site, it has a boundary map. It looks like all of Ocotillo goes to Anna Marie Jacobson Elementary. That is good. However, it also says that the Chandler Traditional Academies are dual attendance boundaries. Does anyone know more about this?

Also, does anyone have opinions/suggestions about certain subdivisions within Ocotillo? Thanks!

Yes! If you live in that subdivision, your kids will go to Jacobson. Great school with many parents volunteering in the classroom and donating out of their pocket. I personally know some of the staff and administration. Turnover is low for staff because you can't go anywhere else and find it better. Many high profile people live in the area. The Cardinal's head football coach has recently moved his family to the area, so has QB Matt Leinart, and you'll find others if you move there. The school has predominantly middle class demographics, so it's not snobbish either. Great environs. If the shool is full you may have the option of going elsewhere, but I don't know how enrollment is. Check it out! You'll be fine if you can afford the housing. Pay no attention to the traditional academies, it likely doesn't pertain to you.

Great to know. We are used to lots of parental involvement in schools. This is what I am looking for and it looks like this particular area is a good place to find it. Also, the area falls within a reasonable commuting distance for work.

If anyone has additional info about living in the area, I would love to know more.
