Fitness Clubs in Gilbert Area
I am relocating to Gilbert in a few weeks at the corner of Higley and Germann. I have been researching fitness clubs to join and have found that there is both a World Gym and an LA Fitness being constructed near my home. Does anyone have any experience on what these gyms are like or have any other clubs they would recommend or avoid. Thanks for your input!

There is a lifetime fitness in Gilbert and it is by FAR the nicest club I have ever been a member of.
I am a member at the Palm Valley club, but I think they are all pretty much identical. check it out at http://www.lifetimefitness.com

Look around when you move. For the most part all fitness clubs are good because most are new, so you'll have to decide based on location and amenities. Plenty of options!

Lifetime Fitness is great but they are going to be maybe a little further than you would want to drive consistently for the gym. Would be for me, anyhow. I have been a member at World Gym for the past several years. I have been happy with their club and the new one in Chandler is great, too so I would imagine that the new Gilbert one is going to be very nice. They have an Express club in Gilbert for the time being so you could start your membership before the other is open. Best of luck in your relocation!

avoid world gym
I highly doubt the World Gym in Gilbert will open. Based on rumors I have heard. Here is why:
Gym reopens after incendiary device scare (broken link) World Gym is returning to Gilbert with 2 clubs (broken link) Fitness Works has a good reputation.
