I really though Kennedy had a chance in beating DiCiccio. In my opinion he is in the pockets of major developers as they primarily funded his campaign. Obviously the voters felt otherwise
I think City Council elections should run of of clean election funds.

Frankly, I think a lot of the voters don't pay that much attention, when they vote, or don't care enough to vote in city elections in the first place. I thought it might go the other way, too. I don't live in Phoenix, but that district of Phx is in my legislative dist, so I feel connected.

This illustrates one of the pitfalls of early voting by mail. I live in District 6 and I voted over a month ago for DiCiccio because I think he's a decent guy and has done well for us in the past. In recent weeks, however, I've read up more about the 202 Freeway issue and began to lean toward Kennedy. If I had voted a few days ago instead of a few weeks ago, I probably would have cast my ballot for Kennedy. I'm going to have to learn to hold onto my mail ballots a little longer until I know the major issues of the campaign have been exposed and addressed.

Couldn't rep your post, but you make a really good point here. Early voting is a great thing in many ways, it encourages more people to vote, but a lot of information comes out in the last month of many campaigns, after those early ballots are cast.

you do have the option to hold onto your ballot and just drop it off at the ballot box on voting day and not have to wait in line. I like that option too

I did not get my ballot mailed to me (forward to LA). I would have voted for Kennedy.
