Lightbulb Merrill Ranch, Florence

Any info on this new community would be appreciated as we are looking to move there.
Thanks, Doug

It's brand new, and you'll get the negative postings about being too far out and nothing to do, but if you already have a life it's of high quality like the other Anthem developments with a Troon golf course. When it begins to build out there will be plenty of retail shopping on site complete with restaurants. A good gauge will be to take a look at Anthem north of the valley of Interstate 17, and that's what Merrill Ranch will be like in 5 years. The schools get a lot of bashing, but it's actually one of the better districts in the county. Most complaints are due to growth issues. If you work, the commute will be 45 minutes to an hour to the east valley. The conveniences will take some time, but the price of homes are the trade off, because you can get much more of a home that is high quality. The views are great too. More rural out there.

Thanks for the info.
This is similar to what we have been told, and we know that the distance is great. We would be using this as a winter home, and would only make the trip into the city once a week or so.
Thanks again, Doug

Good investment for a 5 year period or more IMO.
