Does the kitchen have to be in a smoke free area. Does this apply to a private organization such as the american legion?

I know it's an old thread, folks.

VFW, American Legion, etc. are "private" clubs so they are exempt. Kitchen areas typically have "employees", so yeah.....no smoking.

Hope this helps.

A restaurant here had a covered patio with fire pits. The way the patio and covering was constructed meant there was very little air flow through it. So of course smokers felt free to light up right next to people trying to enjoy their meals.

Yeah, technically you can smoke on the patio but this wasn't really an open-air patio. We never went back, which probably suited the owners just fine. Smokers seem to consume more alcohol anyway.

Yawn...more people considering it a "win" that they think it's OK to tell other people how to live their lives, but as soon as someone pushes back, they cry foul like a little child.

So the "people" have "spoken", and banned smoking in restaurants...but OMG!!! The horror!!! Some people out there still think they can defy that law and continue to allow smoking in their establishments!!! We need to REPORT THEM!!!!!
