New York is better by a mile. LA is garbage; like a damn Latin American barrio by this point. San Diego is nice but the job situation is sorry. San Francisco is about the only place I would live in California.

Good choice kid. In New York you'll meet smarter, more powerful people who have drive to change the world.

Default Its me again

Yes, thing are good out here so far. I am living mid-town west with some friends right now, until I can get a job, which I been hunting everyday, all day, hehe, and when I do get a job I am going to start renting a room in the heights, washington Heights which is a cheeper area in manhattan up-town area. Its a little be more hood, but it is still cool. Yesterday I had a really cool day, I got to see the Band in the bubble from MTV. I was walking after applying to a bunch of jobs everywhere, anywhere, and then I saw the Bubble where MTV sponser this band to lives in it , its like a bubble house built right next to the Hustson River, you can check out their web cam on drpepperbubble.com and the bubble has a big glass front where you can talk to these band members through the glass and interact with them, its really cool, I saw this on TV, and then I accidently passed by it, and it was really cool, its drpepperbubble.com and there likes 20 web cams. the band is stuck in this bubble for like 28 days or something. LOl,I don't know why but I thought it was very interesting, and I also took a free ferry ride to Staten Island and passed the statue of liberty and I met this really nice people my age from England, really nice lookin too if ya know what i mean, lol, and I may meet them at a club later on. Well so far I am really happy here, meeting new friends, seeing really interesting things, and still trying to make a living but at a pretty freely rate, hehehe. The relpys that say you are young and should go for adventure are so right, lol, I proably wont be able to do this later on in life. I mean it really is hard not having lots of money and stuff but after I get a job and my own place I will defently start lookin into school so i can get a really good paying job. Anyway, its still so interesting to hear your repleys so thanks for all of them. They are mad interesting, but I will continue comin on this site and seeing what is up. I still miss Arizona alot and the few but really good friends I have there, and I have to admit, Cali still makes me tempted to see whats up there. So maybe someday if I get sick of New York, which I really do miss Az alot still cause I was born and raised there, but lets see what happens, NY is seeming more and more like home

It will probably be exciting for awhile and a great experience. If and when you decide to go back out west you'll appreciate it even more.

Good Luck to you and keep checking in, it's exciting to see what your up to. It's kind of like a soap opera.

Put yourself in my place?

Your choices should be: NYC, Cali., Phoenix, last. Fly here to visit. There is NO PLACE like NYC...despite the rotten expense and the larger than life roaches...

I'm very critical of Phoenix, but I work from my house and I can live anywhere with a high speed internet connection.

For that reason, I am very biased.

WIth the three choices you have provided, I would not hesitate to pick Phoenix. Here is why:

-Job market
-Education opportunities (without getting outrageously expensive)
-Weather does not suck all the time
-Cost of living on eastern seaboard is awful

California is OK. Never lived there, but the cost of living does not appeal to me either. I would say, if you know Phoenix, the area has many positive attributes for most people.

Default I'd go with either Los Angeles or Phoenix

If I had to choose between NYC, LA or Phoenix, I'd go with either LA despite the expense or Phoenix.

I already live in LA because my family is here but even if they were not here, I would still live there in spite of the expense because:

1. Great restaurants
2. Lots of cultural options
3. Lots of diversity
4. Sunny weather has its own appeal even though sometimes I tire of it too.

I have done enough research to know that Phoenix is not much different from LA. Both places have lots of sprawl. And summer heat? Well certain parts of LA also get extremely hot in summer. Phoenix has more bugs, including those Arizona Bark Scorpions, yuck I like to think that Phoenix is like LA but no beaches. I've lived in hot weather my whole life so I know how that feels.

Although the person who started this thread chose NYC, I personally wouldn't live there. Too fast paced and even more expensive than LA. Plus, it is too crowded.
