can anyone a recommend a place in the valley where i can find a pool table at less than $1000 including accessories, delivery and set up? we don't need it to be professional quality or anything as we're purchasing it more to fill an empty space, but at the same time we still want it to be decent.

I'd prefer not to purchase used as I've seen a few on craigslist that are brand new and around that price range. thanks in advance.

My husband sold pool tables for many years in Mesa so I asked him about this. His response was that you won't get anything even "decent" for less than $1500 including accessories, delivery, setup and sales tax. Even then, it's slim pickings.

Consider the fact that delivery and set up is a cost to the dealer of about $200-250. Accessories, maybe $75-100. Doesn't leave much for the pool table itself.

Remember that the ones you see on CL may not be new - they may claim to be, but they may very well be used and have new felt.

His advice - shop carefully on CL for a used one, and get a professional to deliver and set up. If a seller on CL claims it's new, ask for the bill of lading that shows the delivery date, or some other document that shows when it was REALLY received by the seller. Any retailer or even a guy selling new pool tables out of his garage can provide this.

Or step up the budget to $1500.

Hope that helps.
