I am 18 and desided to move to Phoenix in July or Aug. and i still need help on a neighborhood. I grew up on the East side of St. Paul, also lived in North Minneapolis and South Minneapolis. Even these places have a high crime rate I love these neighborhoods. I am trying to find a neighborhood that are simular to these but not as high of crime rate. I like that there is a large diversity in the places that i have lived. I am looking for the same thing. By diversity i dont mean that there is one or two families of a diffrent race. I tryed to describe this to somebody I know down in Tucson and they kept pointing me to neighborhood that were mainly mid. class white neighborhoods and by "diversity" there was only a handful of diffrent races. If anybody could help me i would apreciate it.

I don't know what your neighborhoods are like, but here in phx there are way too many to count. This is a LARGE city, with probably hundreds of neighborhoods. I'm sure you will find a lot diversity out here, but mainly more hispanic in a lot of neighborhoods. The city of Phoenix has tons of residential with middle class areas, some are upper middle. They seem like burbs in themselves. Most will say that phx is one large suburb, and that is how it feels. I take it you have never been out here before? Why did you choose phx?

Lots of people your age in Tempe because of ASU. It's as diverse as you will get since students come from all over to go to school there. |

I would definatly say Tempe if your going to be going to school. Tempe is an awesome place to live when your a student at ASU (I did it!) Its a college town by far and very diverse. I would definatly suggest living on campus for your first year as a freshman. By the end of your first year you will be familiar with the surrounding area and know where you will want to live after that!
