Moving to work at Mayo (Phoenix, Scottsdale: rental homes, how much, homes)

Hi all,

I am moving to PHX in June. I will be working at both Mayo locations equally. Can someone suggest a good location for myself, wife and 2yr old. Also wife will be 8 months pregnant at that point. I am looking to rent a house. Price range around $1500-$1750. Looking for 4 bedrooms in a good area near shopping without long commute to either Mayo location (N Phx or Scottsdale).

I will be there for only a year. Coming from Vegas so am used to heat, though I hear it is worse in PHX.

I live right by the clinic on 75th. You will only be here for a year so you don't need to worry about schools.....If I were you, I would look at places within a mile of the 101 freeway.

If you're not sure how much time you will be at either place, I would maybe try to stay towards 7th street. You won't be far from the hospital and you will have a reverse commute to 75th ave. So many options. I guess it's just your personal preference.

Several to choose from in N. Scotts, N. Phx and Fountain Hills. Do you want a pool? Should be no problem.

Why would anyone move for only a year? If thats the case, then just rent a place nearby in north Phoenix or north Scottsdale. Moderator edited

I work at Mayo in Scottsdale. Just stick to looking at rental homes in the 85254 area code (by Kierland is nice), 85050 (Desert ridge), 85028, 85260, 85259 (maybe Grayhawk?) and you will be just fine.
