Phoenix utilities (house, costs , moving to)

I'm thinking of moving to Phoenix or surrounding areas & was wondering what utility costs were like (electric especially). Can anyone give me a general idea?

I can tell you what I pay. I have a 1500 sf, single story home and pay about $50 in the winter and upwards to $225 in the summer. This is the electric bill. My gas bill was up to $175 in the winter and it usually gets to around $30-40 in the summer. So, it looks like I pay about $200/month consistently. I keep my home pretty comfortable all year around.

You can do a search on this forum as it has been talked about a lot.

You can check out websites such as SRP.net and input your zip code. That will provide some data on average usages for that area.

thanks for the help sablebaby. that gives me a general idea. I was a little worried about running the a/c but $200/mo is not that bad.

Our highest summer electric bill last year was $156. Our highest winter gas bill was a tad over $100. This is for a 4100sf two story house. We're on the time of use plan and we hardly ever run the AC units during peak times.
