Default Steamers at Biltmore Fashion Mall

If anyone is wondering where to go for a good Valentine's Day dinner with high quality food, top notch service, and romantic ambiance, Steamers at the Biltmore is a place I recommend. We went there one night recently & tried the lobster, and it was absolutely the BEST lobster I have ever tasted. The side dishes and bread certainly complimented the excellent main course.

Be sure to dress up a little because that's just the kind of place it is. The servers give you VIP treatment, and are highly knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The prices are a little on the steep side, but for an occasion such as Valentine's Day, anniversary, birthday, etc., and to make an impression on your dinner companion(s), this place is worth it. Incidentally, they highly recommend making reservations ahead of time!

Never been there but it looks awfully expensive, too rich for my blood.

A less-expensive place closer to me that offers a good dining selection is Mcgrath's Fish House in Goodyear. I'll stick with what I know.

This place slays McGraths - the difference in price point is more than contemplated by the difference in food

another seafood place I really like is the Salt Cellar

I did look at the menu, and the food looks really good. From what I see, you could have a couple eat there for around $100. While that is not cheap by any means, I do not find that expensive at all for Valentine's day. Not only that, your girl will thank you for it.

We went all out and had the live Maine lobster. I hate to mention what the total bill was ... but it was well over $100 just for the two of us. I still think it was worth it due to the sizeable portions and the VIP type of service (not to mention the ambiance).

The Biltmore area has some top notch restaurants: Steamers being one of them, but there are others that feature a variety of cuisine which are just as exquisite.

I've been to Steamers (which by the way is a horrible name for a restaurant) about a couple of years ago. We ended up spending around $180 and IMHO I didn't think it was worth it at all. I don't mind splurging at some expensive places once in a while if the food is worth it but this really wasn't. It was good food but it wasn't $180 good.

Sorry that you didn't have the top of the line experience that your $180 should have bought you. The reason places like Steamers are expensive is the quality of the food and the superior service. I guess it depends a lot on the server, and how attentive/courteous he/she is. The chefs also play a huge part in the quality of the establishment. But even the best places can sometimes have slackers working for them, which is unfortunate when you're spending that much money.

Bad news - it looks like this this Restaurant is closing.

I thought they were going to put in Condos or a Hotel in place of it; but the story is they're going to demolish this part of Biltmore - no plans to do anything with the space!!!!!

I hope they don't just leave it a vacant space to where it turns into an Eyesore!!!!!!!!
