Considering the out of control drug cartels, extremely high rate of kidnappings/killings etc...I would venture to say not as many people are heading to Mexico at this time...

Mexico has fallen more than any country in the Western Hemisphere. It's ashame, because there is so much travel and exploring to be done there. I feel a bit uneasy even getting Duty free items and a haircut, but I'll probably do it. I went to Hermosillo, by bus, in 2004, and I think that trip would be a bad choice now, and I've made numerous trips to Myanmar and Laos in the last several years.

One of the best sunsets ever seen can be found at Rocky Point, as the sun sets over the Gulf and mountains in Baja, that are over 10,000 ft high. And the fish tacos at the fish market? buenisimo!

Sorry, Samdan . . . NOT WORTH THE RISK.

Not an East Valley Resident here but it would be a cold day in Haiti before you would find me crossing the Southern Border again.

And for the adventuresome, the fearless, who make the trek to Rocky Point, arrive there to find it half-deserted, with bargains everywhere, they say a prayer of thanks over their shrimp dinners, for the fearful who choose to stay home in Arizona.

Included in their prayers, they pray you don't get mugged or carjacked while vacationing in Arizona.

Very, very few tourists go to El Salvador. And when down there, with no Americans to be found anywhere, I say my prayers of thanks many times. Hooray! Got the whole country to myself!
