Question Sun City vs. Sun City West: What is the difference?

Does anyone know the difference between Sun City and Sun City West? I have no idea what the two Sun Cities are like, so your information will help alot. And thanks!

When Sun City was built out, Sun City West was started.
Sun City West is basically an extension of Sun City divided by the Agua Fria River. After SCW was built out then Sun City Grand in Surprise was built.
And you can 'google' Sun City Visitors Center or Sun City Wests Visitor Center for all the information and amenities they offer.

Years ago, I was was a in home nursing assistant to senior citizens. Sun City West is a more newer and higher end version of Sun City. It is definitely a very nice, clean and safe area. However, you have to be at least 55 to buy property (pretty sure, not 100%) just so you know.

Sun City was started in the 60's by Del Webb. It was built out in the early-mid 70's. Next, Sun City West was started in 1978 by Del Webb and built out in the late 90's (?). It continued with Sun City Grand which was built out just a few years ago (2006?), and now continues with Sun City Festival in far north Buckeye. Generally the westward progression over the years has brought nicer, bigger homes and lots with more/better ammenities. Best regards.

The Del Webb Corporation continued after his death for years, in 2001 it was taken over by Pulte.
Pulte Homes, Inc. | Press Room | Del Webb Brand
In Sun City and Sun City West one person has to be over 55 for the residency requirement. No Children under 18 allowed for more than 90 days.
In Sun City Grand it is 45 for residency.

I have two guys that work for me that are both in their 30's, one may even be in his late 20's and both have Sun City addresses. The older one is renting and the younger one owns his home and has a very young wife (early to mid 20's). How do they get away with that?

I think there may be a mobile home park or two on the North end of Sun City that are not age restricted.

They don't live in Sun City, they live adjacent to Sun City on county islands that use Sun City Postal Zip codes for mail. This happens in many rural areas. Until there is a dedicated Post Office that gives them their own Zip they'll continue to use the Sun City one. Ventana Lakes, Coyote Lakes and areas north of Sun City West are examples.
