We used to raise them for food. We would take some of them over to the lake and try and shoot them down. Not sure about shooting in a populated area. Maybe if your home was out in Buckeye or the South West side of Phoenix no one would notice the gun shots, lol. I am not advocating killing the Ducks. I for one love them and would like to have them in the yard. Back when I was a kid though that was part of the menu. Saying that, as a kid I still loved having the ducks around.

Default Had 2 C it 2 believe it!

I am living in the heart of Las Vegas at one of the High-Rise apartment buildings and looked out at the pool early this evening and there was a pair of Mallards out there! Only the male seems to be getting in the water. At first he was in the hot tub with the female watching from the side and then a tenant came out to use it and he got out and then the two of them wandered over to the pool and in he jumped he swam almost the length and then got out. They did not seem worried at all about the guy who was now in the hot tub. In fact, here it is 9:45 at night and they seem to be settled down, poolside, for the night. Honestly, you would think they owned the place. I think the whole thing is kind of cool and I love watching wildlife in their (un) natural habitat. LOL

If you want them gone simply scare them regularly.

Apparently it's expensive for ducks to start flying so they avoid it whenever possible, if you can make them stressed and have to flee enough times they'll pick a new spot.
