Question Commuting from Gilbert to DT

What can my husband realistically expect for a rush hour commute from the Gilbert area, say Greenfield Lakes, to the downtown Phx area around 7th and Buckeye? Any better times to travel? Is earlier really better? He's noticed that people tend to get up and get on the road around 6am and things seem to contine steadily through the 8am hour. With the 7-8 time frame being the busiest.

Experiences anyone?

Thanks!

This is true. Expect 45 minutes in rush hour. Maybe less in the summer, and more in November-April.

LVGAZ will become famous soon enoughLVGAZ will become famous soon enough
Just did that trip this am from Gilbert - I can tell you it took me 45 minutes in the passenger/buddy speed lane. We were actually buzzing by the folks in the regular lanes - and of course, the good old accident - there is atleast a half dozen everyday on the 60 and the 1-10 or 202
Would I want to do that everyday - absolutely NOT!!! It is bad enough I have to go the 60 to 202 everyday from Gilbert to Scottsdale - and that takes 50 minutes - of course I can save about 10 minutes if I cut through the Indian Reservation ; but beware you must abide to the 25 mile zone or for sure there is a ticket waiting for you -
SO 45 minutes - I would say atleast 1 hour to 1 hr 15-20 minutes in traffic.

Not to 7th and Buckeye. I do the commute every day and it is rare it takes longer than 45 minutes. Although it will be longer when there is an accident. I'm sorry you have a different experience, but mine is slightly better, but of course it looks like you won't be having your commute in AZ very much longer. Hopefully you can change the time of day you have to travel.
