Default Homeschool credits accepted in public high schools?

My daughter has been homeschooled from 9th-11th grade, she would like to go to 12th grade at a public school, does anyone know if there are any high school's that accept homeschool credits?
We are in Colorado and are interested in moving to Phoenix, I have emailed several schools and am waiting for a reply but in the meantime I'm wondering if anyone has any information?

My daughter really wants to attend the 12th grade in a public school but if this is not possible does anyone know where she could go to prepare for the SAT's? this is basically what she's worried about, she feels she won't be prepared to take them if she's not completed 12th in a public school with a person actually teaching, she feels she'll learn more with a teacher hands on. Do community colleges have courses?
I'm confused and worried, any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Where I teach, the guidance office takes the records and certification proof from the homeschool teacher and reviews the work. You have a file kept, yes? The counselor will match those files to classes and give her credit for classes taken in the past so she can be placed in the right classes.

If not, she is still entitled to services such as SAT prep and testing at the school.
She can take AP classes and dual enrollment classes for college.

Most schools will accept your homeschool records but will also want to test your daughter for each subject to see if she is prepared for the courses that she wants to take. There are a lot of homeschoolers in Arizona, so it won't be like the school hasn't seen this situation before. When we lived there for a while last year it seemed that we were literally surrounded by homeschoolers and there were so many homeschool co-ops, activity groups, etc. to get involved in.

I am curious, does your daughter want to attend public school for her last year for the social aspect, or to be involved with activities? Nothing wrong with that, but if it's purely for academic reasons, she would more than likely be much better off being homeschooled and spending extra time studying for the SAT with the myriad of SAT prep materials that you can buy at any bookstore or through Amazon. The learning atmosphere in a public school classroom vs. at home where she can actually focus are worlds apart. I don't know what curriculum you have been using, but there are some wonderful homeschool curriculums on DVD with the best teachers that you will ever find anywhere. Our daughter is homeschooled with a DVD curriculum through a Christian distributor on the east coast and the content of her Biology, Economics, Geometry, etc. does circles around what I was taught in public school. In fact, our son attends the University of Michigan, which is a pretty prestigious school, and he is even blown away by what she is learning at home.

Good luck!

I am a homeschooling mom looking for a great curriculum for my son, who will start 9th grade next year. I am curious about the DVD course you are using. Could you point me in that direction? Thank you!

Most schools should accept her credits. As long as it meets Arizona's standards or any state if that. I took online classes from home my junior year with Primavera. My senior year all my credits that I earned from home where still transferred onto my official transcript and that's because I completed my senior year in the state of Washington. so I don't see why not ? I believe it depends on the states requirements.

Could she take a Princeton Review or Kaplan SAT study course?

I am confused on this too - my daughter wants to go to public school after being home schooled and I am not clear on what I need to show the school so she can get credit for her 9th grade. Is there some type of test the child can take or what exactly do we need to provide to the school to 'verify' she completed the school work ??? We did our own curriculum over a broad area (not from the state per se). We are in Utah. Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks
