As some may have noticed, I wasn't on for the past over a week. I was on vacation. Also, I don't think I'll really be on here much until after the move. I've got a lot on my plate to take care of until then. I'll try and keep in touch as much as I can between now and the move.

Good luck with the move Acrylic! Enjoy the adventure!

Good Luck on your move. I hope all goes smoothly. My wife and I continue to plan our return to Phoenix from Ohio. Enjoy your trip!

You're going to be my inspiration now. You're in a similarly sized town in the same state as me moving to a big metro across the country. It really feels good to know someone whos doing it, and it's making me more confident. I've always wanted to move cross country some day.

keep us updated, acrylic....

remember, no daylight savings time here in most of Arizona....it gets light very early in June and warms up very quickly....cools quickly at night and in the shade with the dry air....sounds obvious, but drinking water constantly all day long will really help you feel better....wear a wide-brimmed hat if outside for more than 30 minutes or so.....check your car's cooling system....jumping in a pool helps and you may even feel cold when you get out as the dry air quickly evaporates off your skin....remember our rainy season is July and August with occasional afternoon/early evening dust storms and heavy rain and the nighttime low will only get down to about 85 because of the humidity then....take care of your home AC!....

sorry to lecture, but wanted to make sure you know all these little hints

Don't forget the lightning, dust devils, and microbursts. Those are the some things to watch for especially in summer

I actually saw a dust devil when I hiked up Camelback (awesome hike, to all those wondering) a little over a week ago. It was so awesome. I saw it and pointed it out to everyone and we were just watching in awe! I tried to tape it, but I don't think my phone's video camera captured it well.

What is a microburst?
