I know they come up thru drains so I keep mine closed (altho one prior poster laughted at that, saying it wasn't a deterrent - they can open them, so i'll wait and see....)

I do have a flat shower drain - there must be something on the market to cover that somehow?

anyway how about the biffy question?

I would think it would be hard to come up into the bowl, I know rats and snakes can, but I would think the water would be to hard for the roach swim through.

Basically if you went away from your house for several weeks your water level in the bowl will be low enough for roaches to crawl through. Either have someone you trust enter your house and flush your toilets every three weeks or get some kind of seal in the bowl.

If the water level is high enough they will not come in.

There are, however, other critters who will crawl out of your toilet whether there's a lot of water in the bowl or not.

Roahes can enter your home anywhere, the drains, small gaps, the door.Roahes can be a persistent problem, altho, to be honest, I don't know what a "Roahe" is.
