Not sure what you mean. The school names are all in Spanish, but they are top notch schools. Whichever one's are in Chandler would be the closest, not sure where any of those are based on name. I used to live in Warner Ranch, and Kyrene de la Mariposa was in my neighborhood at the Tempe/Chandler border. Ocotillo is about 6 miles Southeast of there. Any of them in Phoenix are in Ahwatukee, the furthest away.

I live in Ocotillo. It is Chandler School district, not Kyrene. Hope that helps.

I believe the Kyrene district is more towards Tempe, in the North/West area of Chandler. The Ocotillo area might be too far away to qualify for the Kyrene district.

It is, but I took it as, which school is located closest to the Ocotillo area, not which Kyrene school is in Ocotillo. The Kyrene district is to the North and West of Ocotillo in West Chandler, Ahwatukee and Tempe.

Here's the map:

Kyrene School District - Boundary Map (http://www.kyrene.org/ksdportal/calendars-times-maps/map/index.htm - broken link)

Closest school to the Ocotilo area would be Kyrene de la Paloma (elementary, grades K-5) and Kyrene del Pueblo (middle school, grades 6-8).

Still wondering what the OP means by "all Spanish".

Ok, sorry I've been MIA.......i saw the names and I thought that all they teach is in Spanish. Everything.

What makes these schools "top notch"? test scores? graduation rate? good teachers? class ratio?

are there any "Ocotilo" like neighborhoods in Kyrene?
tx.

It's still a public school district, so they teach in English like all the other districts. Use of Spanish names for all sorts of things is very common here.

It's a top notch district for all those reasons.

I don't know Ocotillo as well as others here, but there are a lot of beautiful neighborhoods in south Tempe, which is in Kyrene District, as you can see from the map. No golf courses like Ocotillo in Tempe, though, if that matters to you. That said, you are never far from a golf course in most areas of the Valley.

I don't know them all by their names, and they don't all HAVE names. Here's a few: Pecan Grove, Cobblestone, Warner Ranch, Estate La Colina.... there are many, from Guadalupe Road south. There are some nice areas in north Chandler as well, same school district. If you are seriously considering moving here, find a realtor familiar with the area to help you look around.
