What are some of the safest zip codes in the cities of Chandler, Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Tempe, for cheap car insurance rates. I know that AAA charges inexpensive rates according to one's zip code. If anyone can assist me with some information, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!!

An insurance agent should be able to help you with this. I think State Farm recently had something on the web comparing rates by zip code.

Why not use the zip code of the location you live? Or is this an insurance scam for lower rates?

No it's not an insurance scam. Normally when you live in an area (zip code) with very little crime, your insurance rates are extremely low, and I do mean looooow. We live in Carmel, Indiana, and we have almost no crime at all, maybe petty crimes. This was the reasoning behind my question.

You might want to try 85373, 85351 located in the northwest valley for Sun City. They are senior drivers, low accident statics and less traffic. However there might be other locations that would be better. Also Fountain Hills might have low rates because they are outside the city limits of Phoenix. Arizona rates are high auto insurance.

You need local resident insurance of if you: have a job in the state, have a child in school, or own property. If you don’t have any one of these factors then you can have keep your out of state insurance of your home residence.

However check with an agent to insure you are covered depending on your status.

A broker will tell you for sure, and be sure to price shop the different companies unless you are dead-set on one or the other.

Bear in mind that insurance prices in Phoenix and surrounding areas tends to be high due to the high number of vehicle break-ins and thefts. But what I find funny is that my plan does not discount for me storing my car in the garage.

I think they are all pretty much the same I have lived in like 4 different zips and didnt change much.
Phoenix just has really careless drivers-I'm thankful when I encounter someone who doesn't practically run you off the road!

For what it's worth, the other day I was talking with a police officer at a city of Phoenix district #3 council breakfast who told me that the Phoenix stats on car thief was down 38 or 39% over the past year. It's a positive move in the right direction anyway. However the bad news is that no place in the city or suburbs is any safer then another and the accidents are high all around the valley in my opinion.
